Why Turn Again to Epicurus in the Face of Anxiety in Your Thirties?
Anxiety in your thirties does not arise because your mind is weak. Uncertain jobs, unstable income, delayed independence, and endless comparison make us ask: Am I going in the right direction? Is it all right to live this way? The good life that Epicurus spoke of was not a life of having more and climbing higher. Life Pattern Korea. It was a life that did not get dragged along by fear and empty desire, and that protected the tranquility of one's own life. Economist Yongha Kim, as the father of two children in their thirties, offers this old philosophy to people in their thirties today. In an age that keeps urging us to run faster, this book asks: What do I need? How much is enough? Why am I so afraid?
