Ordering

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. Life Pattern Korea ships Korean books and selected titles to readers around the world. Available shipping methods and shipping fees may vary depending on your destination, package weight, carrier availability, shipping origin, and order details.

Where are your books shipped from?

Most orders are prepared through our Seoul-based shipping route. For selected destinations, our Jakarta route or a logistics partner may be used when it offers a more practical shipping option.

Are the books in Korean?

Most books sold by Life Pattern Korea are written in Korean. We also carry selected Japanese-language books, especially in categories such as baking, cooking, crafts, and creative hobbies.

Please check the language information on each product page carefully before placing your order.

Are product descriptions available in English?

Yes. We try to provide clear English product information so international readers can better understand what each book is about, who it is for, and whether it matches their needs.

Are all books always in stock?

Some titles may need to be sourced, transferred, or prepared before international shipment. If a book becomes unavailable or requires a meaningful delay, we will contact you by email with an update or available options.

Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?

If you need to change or cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible at support@lifepattern.kr.

Orders that have already been shipped cannot be modified or canceled. For customer-requested cancellations before shipment, a non-refundable payment processing fee of up to 6% may be deducted from the refund, where permitted by applicable law. This helps cover non-refundable payment processing fees charged by payment providers.

Some sourced items, special-order items, or orders already prepared for international shipment may not be cancellable even if they have not yet shipped.

Shipping & Tracking

How are shipping fees calculated?

Shipping fees are calculated at checkout based on your delivery address, package weight, available shipping methods, and other order details. You will be able to review the final shipping fee before placing your order.

Why are shipping fees shown separately at checkout?

Some orders may be split into separate shipments when books are available from different fulfillment locations, such as South Korea and Indonesia. In that case, checkout may show separate shipping options and shipping fees for each shipment.

This helps show which items are shipping from each location and lets you review the total shipping cost before placing your order.

Can I order a book that is not currently in the Indonesia warehouse?

Yes, some books may be available as restock orders. This means the book is not currently available in our Indonesia warehouse, but it may be added to an upcoming restock from Korea and shipped from Indonesia after it becomes available.

Indonesia stock is usually replenished within 3 weeks, but availability and timing are not guaranteed. If a meaningful delay or availability issue occurs, we will contact you by email.

When this option is available, checkout may show the item under an Indonesia shipping option instead of a separate South Korea shipment.

How long does order processing take?

Most orders are prepared within 2-7 business days after payment confirmation. Business days do not include weekends, public holidays, or carrier holidays in South Korea or Indonesia. Delivery after dispatch may also be affected by holidays in the destination country.

Some books may require additional preparation time, especially if a title needs to be sourced, transferred, or prepared for international shipment. If we expect a meaningful delay, we will contact you by email.

Will I receive tracking information?

When available, tracking information will be provided after your order has been shipped. Tracking availability, update speed, and the level of detail may vary depending on the shipping method, destination country, and local carrier system.

Why has my tracking not updated for several days?

For many international shipments, tracking updates may temporarily pause while the parcel is in customs, in export processing, airline transfer, or handover to a local postal service or local delivery partner. This is common for cross-border shipments and does not always mean that the parcel is lost.

If your tracking has not updated for an unusually long time, please contact us with your order number and tracking number.

Is the estimated delivery date guaranteed?

No. Delivery dates and delivery periods shown by us, the carrier, or during checkout are estimates only.

International delivery may be affected by customs clearance, carrier delays, local delivery conditions, weather, holidays, strikes, security checks, or other circumstances outside our control.

Customs & Import Taxes

Will I have to pay customs duties or import taxes?

International orders may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, VAT, GST, handling fees, clearance fees, or other charges imposed by your destination country.

Some countries may apply low or zero customs duty, reduced tax rates, exemptions, or special import rules for printed books or educational materials. However, even if customs duty is low or not charged, VAT, GST, import taxes, customs clearance fees, carrier handling fees, or other charges may still apply.

Unless clearly stated otherwise at checkout, these charges are not included in our product prices or shipping fees. They are the responsibility of the recipient.

Can Life Pattern Korea tell me the exact customs fee before I order?

No. Customs duties, import taxes, and handling fees are determined by the destination country, local customs authority, or delivery carrier. We cannot predict the exact amount in advance.

If you are unsure, we recommend checking your local customs rules before placing an order.

Can you mark my order as a gift or declare a lower value?

No. We are required to provide accurate customs information, including the contents, quantity, value, and other required shipment details.

We cannot mark commercial orders as gifts, declare a lower value, change the declared item type, or provide false customs information at the customer's request.

What happens if I do not pay import charges?

If import charges are not paid or the customs process is not completed, the parcel may be delayed, returned to us, abandoned, or handled according to the carrier's or customs authority's procedures.

If the parcel is returned to us, the original shipping fee is non-refundable unless required by applicable law or unless the issue was caused by our error. Return shipping charges, customs or carrier handling fees, and, where applicable, a processing or restocking fee may also be deducted from any refund.

Returns, Refunds & Cancellations

Can I return a book?

You may request a return within 14 days after receiving your order. To be eligible, the book must be clean, undamaged, unmarked, and in resalable condition, with no signs of use beyond what is necessary to inspect the item.

If the book was shipped with original packaging, protective wrapping, inserts, bundled materials, or shrink wrap, these must also be returned together. Shrink-wrapped or sealed products must be unopened unless the item is defective or a return is required by applicable law.

Who pays for return shipping?

For change-of-mind returns or returns requested for personal reasons, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

The original shipping fee is non-refundable unless required by applicable law or unless the issue was caused by our error. Customs duties, import taxes, VAT, GST, handling fees, payment processing fees, and other third-party charges are also non-refundable unless required by applicable law or unless the issue was caused by our error.

What if my item arrives damaged, defective, incorrect, or missing?

Please contact us at support@lifepattern.kr within 7 days of delivery.

Include your order number and clear photos of the item, outer packaging, inner packaging, shipping label, and the damaged or incorrect area. Please keep the item and all packaging materials until the issue has been reviewed.

After reviewing the issue, we will help find an appropriate solution. Depending on the case, this may include a replacement, partial refund, full refund, store credit, or another reasonable solution.

Can I exchange a book?

We do not offer direct exchanges for international orders.

If you received a defective, damaged, or incorrect item, we may replace it with the same item when appropriate and available. For other cases, the fastest way is to request a return for the eligible item and place a separate order for the new item.

Where should I send my return?

Please contact us before sending anything back. If your return request is accepted, or if a mandatory return right applies, we will provide return instructions and the return address by email.

Items returned without prior notice, without approval when approval is required, or sent to an incorrect address may not be accepted or refunded.

Product Information

How do I know if a book is right for me?

Please review the product title, description, photos, language information, level, table of contents, and any notes on the product page.

For Korean learning books, please check the level, series, edition, and whether the book is a textbook, workbook, vocabulary book, grammar book, reading book, or test preparation book.

Are book covers and editions always exactly the same as shown?

We try to keep product images and descriptions accurate. However, publishers may update covers, editions, included materials, or package design without prior notice.

If a specific edition, cover, or included material is important to you, please contact us before placing your order.

What should I do if I cannot find the book I want?

Please contact us at support@lifepattern.kr with the book title, author, publisher, ISBN, or a photo of the book. We will check whether we can help you find it.
