The winner of the 12th Munhakdongne Youth Literature Award. The novel depicts the process of 18-year-old Yuri, who declared a break from the past and dreamed of independence, connecting with people around her. Readers can naturally think of a 'relationship' while observing a season of the main character Yuri. <Hul-hul> reminds us that the name of the relationship that willingly shares the heart, whether it is blood relation or not, is "family."
The characters of this novel are burdened with different stories. The story begins to warm up when they slowly move from the area of disconnection to the area of connection, which was quietly dealing with their own pain. What is the weight that is not a burden to each other? Can there be a relationship that relies on its weight? Perhaps the relationship that we constantly encounter these worries and create together is comforting in itself? Asking these questions, this novel says. There may be only one way to be easy, even though there are many reasons why each person is struggling. The more our hearts are connected, the lighter our burdens become. So it's okay to close the distance enough to share each other's warmth.
