This book is helpful for foreign students who want to study the difference in Korean expression. It will also be of little help to teachers who want to teach those differences well.
Korean expression sentence types were largely classified into two parts (similar in meaning and similar in form). The sentences with similar meanings were compared/contrasted by dividing the categories by functions such as cause and reason, list of facts, purpose and intention, choice, continuity of situation, order of time, concession, conditions and assumptions, causative, passive, speculation, and results. The headings for each functional category were presented in the languages of 12 countries with many Korean language learners, including China, Vietnam, and Mongolia.
The beginning of each grammar item is structured with a dialogue, so that learners can understand the context of the situation in which the expression sentence pattern is used. As a special appendix, the core grammar was summarized and provided in Chinese.
Korean example/conversation MP3 files provided.
