‘Korea Immigration Service, Ministry of Justice’ is an immigration policy general department that promotes social integration policies that allow foreigners moving to Korea to fully demonstrate their individual abilities and adapt more stably to our society.
The ‘KIIP (Korea Immigration & Integration Program)’ aims to help immigrants learn essential basic skills as members of Korean society and become stable independent.
Since July 2016, ‘Korea Immigration Service, Ministry of Justice’ has been operating a textbook titled <Understanding Korean Society> to meet various needs of consumers of KIIP.
In 2020, the revised edition reflected the changes so far, and the curriculum was refined more systematically by developing additional textbooks such as workbooks and teacher’s guides.
In 2022, to help immigrants settle down early in Korean society, we published a new textbook called <Understanding Korean Society Intermediate> that allows them to learn at the intermediate level of Korean language.
