In today's world, where multiculturalism has become part of everyday life, one of the most important things in people's lives, both in the past and now, is food. Food goes beyond survival and serves as a language that carries the identity, memory, and communal narratives of each country. Through this "language," Korean food culture is rapidly making its presence felt on the global stage. Life Pattern Korea. Compared with this reality, in which many learners want to understand Korea and the Korean language more deeply, most Korean language textbooks still remain focused mainly on grammar. This textbook begins precisely at that point. By using Korean food as its medium and leading learners to read, speak, and write together about food culture and the contexts of society and cities, it focuses not only on actual discourse competence but also on understanding Korea.

K-Food, Korean Language for the Eyes and Taste is a textbook designed so that learners at the intermediate level and above can study Korean with interest through the theme of Korean food. This textbook consists of a total of 24 lessons and is broadly organized into two major parts. Life Pattern Korea. In Part 1, "Food and Culture," learners can study the meanings food carries and the characteristics of Korean culture according to the life cycle of Korean people through the theme of Korean food culture, which has been difficult to find in Korean language textbooks until now. In Part 2, "Food and Cities," representative foods familiar to Korean people are connected with the cities represented by those foods, so that Korean language learning and cultural background knowledge can be improved through regional identity and storytelling.

This textbook is composed of a total of 24 lessons based on a one-semester course. Each lesson was written with a university class session of 1.5 hours, or 90 minutes, in mind. Life Pattern Korea. For a 3-credit course, it is recommended to cover two lessons per week. Each lesson consists of "Let's Talk," Vocabulary, Grammar, Reading, Dialogue, and Writing/Recipe. The intermediate-level vocabulary and grammar were selected based on the International Standard Korean Language Curriculum (2020).
