KANG Min-hyuk(CNBLUE drummer, Actor), Releases a Recover Revised and Expanded Edition of His Essay Collection, 『NOT EVERYTHING IS AS IT SEEMS』.
Featuring ten new stories and photographs captured through the author’s own lens.
KANG Min-hyuk debuted in 2010 as the drummer for the band CNBLUE and has since earned global acclaim through his roles in various dramas, including The Heirs (2013), Oh! Master (2021), and Celebrity (2023). He returns to his readers with a special recover revised and expanded edition of his essay collection, 『NOT EVERYTHING IS AS IT SEEMS』.
As someone who knows how to love life and gently embrace passing sensations and emotions, He has been a consistent thinker and chronicler of his journey. The book is organized into three parts: Part 1, ‘Words That Drifted Up Indifferently’, Part 2, ‘Sentences Taken for Granted’, and Part 3, ‘Stories That Were Always Together.’ Within these pages, he captures moments often too familiar to be scrutinized, reflections on himself and others, and his perspective on the world we live in today.
This revised edition adds a layer of depth with ten new stories and a collection of photographs taken by the author himself. His signature delicate sensitivity and lyrical prose quietly resonate with the heart, occasionally anchoring fleeting moments in time through photography and memory.
Having entered the public eye at the young age of nineteen, He realized early on how precarious it can be to reveal oneself to the world. For a long time, he feared the gaze and potential misunderstandings of others. However, through the process of writing, he discovered a side of his inner self he had never truly faced and found the courage to be honest. Through this growth, he no longer hides his heart but seeks to candidly express what he feels and thinks.
This book is a record of that accumulated time and a collection of gentle sentences he offers to himself. Those very sentences will, in turn, settle softly into our own hearts like a familiar face. So, why not stay a while by the side of these words?
